The initiative seeks to integrate markets from non-Iberian Europe, Asia, Africa, the Middle East, Oceania, and other global territories
The Ibero-American Festival of Creativity (FIAP) presents FIAPx – Beyond Ibero, a new line of categories created to incorporate work developed outside of Ibero-America and expand the festival’s international reach without losing its regional identity.
The initiative seeks to integrate markets from non-Iberian Europe, Asia, Africa, the Middle East, Oceania, and other global territories, with the aim of building bridges between different creative geographies and connecting Ibero-American creativity with new international conversations.
These new categories will be integrated into the festival’s existing disciplines and will recognize projects developed outside the Ibero-American ecosystem in areas related to Formats, Innovation, Ads, and Production.
“Just as it has done with practically every local festival in our region, FIAP is expanding its creative borders through agreements with festivals from other parts of the world. This is a way to provide greater international reach to Ibero-American creativity in a context where communication is already global—yet without losing the essence that makes it unique: rewarding creativity with soul,” stated Daniel Marcet.
Within FIAPx – Beyond Ibero, the festival introduced four new categories aimed at recognizing work from international markets.
FX – Formats in New Territories will reward submissions developed outside of Ibero-America that create, adapt, or reinvent formats for content, entertainment, and audience building. The category will recognize work capable of connecting cultures, communities, and platforms through new narratives and brand experiences.
Meanwhile, IX – Innovation in New Frontiers will focus on initiatives that integrate creativity, technology, and business. This category aims to highlight projects related to artificial intelligence, data, commerce, emerging experiences, and applied innovation solutions.
In addition, AX – Ads from the Rest of the World will recognize advertising campaigns and pieces created outside of Ibero-America that have the ability to transcend markets and generate international impact through storytelling and creative execution.
Finally, PX – Production in New Markets will shine a spotlight on technical excellence and craft in international projects, including directing, cinematography, sound, editing, animation, visual effects, experiential production, and new technologies.
With FIAPx – Beyond Ibero, the festival deepens a strategy aimed at broadening the dialogue between Ibero-American creativity and other international markets, in a landscape where the industry increasingly operates under global dynamics.
The proposal also reinforces FIAP’s positioning as a platform that aims to connect talent, creativity, and new forms of advertising innovation, all while preserving the cultural and regional focus that has historically defined the festival.
