In May, Jorge Fegan, Ecuadorian-Mexican actor, and producer, joined the 2bLatam team to boost the growth of the entertainment network at the regional level.

The idea and philosophy of 2bLatam are to give creators the freedom to create, monetize their content, and diversify their income by offering direct relationships and connections with various platforms and brands. PRODU spoke with Jorge Alejandro Fegan, director of 2bLatam’s Talent unit, who explained how they manage the network of creators and the different projects and processes in which they are working.

He mentioned the importance of the creator economy, a phenomenon – which emerged thanks to the Internet and platforms that allow managing the monetization of content creation – that has grown exponentially in recent years and has been evolving, opening up new possibilities so creators can be owners of their economy.

Although it is a changing market and the options for creating content on different platforms have been growing, not all operate the same way. At that point, “2bLatam facilitates the relationship with the platform to optimize the content for each of them and broadens the options to monetize that content,” said Fegan.

One of the services 2bLatam offers to creators is the financial application 2bpay, a tool that allows them to access their income as if it were a bank account.

“It’s a fintech, which can be accessed through an online platform and an application, where creators can advance payments and manage them as they need. They should not wait until the end of the month to be able to collect the monetization money (as happens by charging directly from YouTube); additionally, it offers the possibility of making advances. Based on the data we have on the creator’s monetization, the platform can generate a down payment offer of between two to six months of monetization, acting as if it was a financial institution, allowing creators to plan investments in the short and medium term,” he explained.

2bLatam has a direct relationship with AVOD platforms, where there is interest in licensing content by digital creators. “Thanks to ads on these platforms, creators have the opportunity to earn additional revenue based on a revenue share.”

The company offers creators of its network to connect with brands. “Influencer marketing is the global trend. We offer contact with the brand and the production of the content it requires. 2bLatam, also a production company, can make specific products for brands and link talents to these advertising videos.

2bLatam is the producer of enchufe.tv, so it’s emphatic with the talent who are also content creators. “We are very respectful of the creativity of creators, we understand the challenges they face and the importance of keeping their essence; It’s something we take into account. We offer a customized service to each creator because it’s important for us that their positioning grows and that their content is of quality,” he added.
The mission of 2bLatam’s talent unit is to help digital creators grow in all broadcast windows, optimize their existing monetization lines, find new revenue streams, and connect them to premium platforms and traditional media that are looking to reach new native-digital audiences. “We are an entertainment network that seeks to generate opportunities for creators, platforms, and brands.”
