Alberto Ciurana passed away

The death of Alberto Ciurana, who served as Director of Content and Distribution of TV Azteca, was announced the evening of Tuesday, March 23.

Ciurana, 60, had several days in hospital for covid-19, according to posts on his social networks on March 10: “I regret to inform you that I am infected with covid-19. I have mild symptoms but requiring medical attention. The irony is that on Friday I received the first dose of the vaccine. I will be working from home.”

The death of Ciurana was announced by Benjamín Salinas Sada, VP of the Board of Grupo Salinas through his social networks. “I deeply regret the death of Alberto Ciurana, a dear collaborator to whom Azteca owes much of what we built together; in this network he will always be remembered with affection and gratitude. I send a hug to his family and friends.”
