On the occasion of the launching in Spain, Atres Series will now be called Atreseries and changes its graphic image. In addition, their website will be revamped to improve viewer service. As for launchings, Mar Martínez, International director of Atresmedia, announced to PRODU the launching, on January 20th, of the thriller Mar de Plástico, that will “trap the viewer from the first episode”.Another of the group’s channels, Antena 3, got off to a flying start, broadcasting on HD quality, very much in demand by operators. Atresmedia will be present in NATPE and has the aim to further deepen its relationship with partners and affiliates and initiate conversations with new ones. Regarding 2015, the executive pointed out that they have grown a lot in distribution and have been very focused on their own productions. In 2016, they will continue to be centered on broadening their distribution, in spite of the difficulties of operating in such a mature and competitive market.“We will continue aiming towards content with exclusive debuts of the group’s best series, as well as current events and entertainment for the whole family”, she said. As for OTT platforms, Martínez considers they offer answers to new consumption manners and plan to collaborate with all the operators and help our content to reach audiences. “We have a very close collaboration with operators and that is why we prefer to place our content on their platforms instead of creating our own platform”, she ended.
