Atresmedia: Atresmedia Studios is a natural step in the company´s strategy

“The creation of Atresmedia Studios is a natural step in the company´s strategy in terms of having content as our main strength, for it to be the core of our business regardless of the distribution channel. That strategy has turned us into a great Spanish content factory for all the supports and allows us to make our experience and capability in design and production of audiovisual content profitable,” explained Silvio González, Advising Delegate of Atresmedia, after informing about the new initiative.

The company said that Atresmedia Studios’ goal will be the creation and design of fiction content that is exclusive for the new operators in the market and the new distribution and exhibition platforms, both in Spain and worldwide.
They clarified that these fiction formats are born with the aim to be exhibited on screens of other operators, aside from Atresmedia, “that is why the production of series will be the new studios’ main axis,” explained the company statement.

Ignacio Corrales will be the general director of Atresmedia Studios; Sonia Martínez, current Fiction director at Atresmedia, will also be in charge of the editorial direction of the new company and Nacho Manubens, Deputy Fiction director at Atresmedia, is joining as the Content director.
