Atresmedia Internacional is in the process of closing new integration deals of its ATRESPlayer Premium International platform in Latin America and the Hispanic US.

“ATRESPlayer is available both in direct to the consumer format and through operators, but we are aware that the way to grow will be working together with the operators. We already have an agreement with Claro Video,” said Mar Martínez-Raposo, general director of Atresmedia Internacional.

The operation of the platform in LatAm is the same as in Spain, however, not all rights are available either in linear channels or in VOD, so there are logical differences in the content. “In addition, we wanted to align the offer of ATRESPlayer with the offer of international signals that are also integrated into the platform outside of Spain,” she explained.

Asked about the US Hispanic, Martínez indicated that “it is key, especially because of its profitability. We arrived 18 years ago, and already we have great penetration of Antena 3 and the rest of the signals. The last agreements were with Verizon or Charter, but there is always the possibility of growth and that is what we are working on. Our goal is to reach the highest penetration possible.”
