Azteca America conducted a private and intimate dinner with 100 clients in New York last Monday, May 13th, as a part of the Upfronts week.Martín Breidsprecher, the CEO, explained to PRODU that what they have being doing is infronts, in other words, individual meetings with clients to determine their needs, and identify how best to integrate products within the Azteca content; a practice that Azteca America performs very well, according to Breidsprecher. Among the new programming for the 2013-2014 season, he mentioned a new reality show, Baila México, as well the La Isla and Yo Soy Grupero upcoming second seasons. Margarita Black, formerly responsible for Univision Communication’s Galavisión programming for 16 years, attended the Upfront dinner as the new VP of Programming. Her nomination was confirmed by Breidsprecher, who said that an official statement is forthcoming regarding Black’s new role. Azteca’s general manager, Mario san Román, traveled from México to attend the event and address the agencies and the advertisers, as he has done for several years.
