Caracol Televisión: Bolívar is the most ambitious project in the history of Latin American’s television

Caracol Televisión announced its new series Bolívar, Una Lucha Admirable (Bolivar, A Remarkable Feat) (60×60’), script by Juana Uribe, and general production by Asier Aguilar. The shooting will begin in 2018.

“Bolívar is the most ambitious project in the history of Latin American’s television in terms of budget, production values and reach. We have all the ingredients for a great story: epic, romance, action, politics, and we’re facing a character of universal standing. Simón Bolívar is the most important figure in mankind’s history” said Dago García, VP, Product & Content at Caracol Televisión.

Lisette Osorio, VP, International Sales at Caracol said that this new production is a universal story, told from a totally new standpoint. “Bolívar, Una Lucha Admirable promises to be an unprecedented production, where the highest production values will blend with an internationally renowned cast, that will bring Simon Bolivar to life and all the historic figures that stood by him during his epic deed. This super series will tell the story of the life of a man who left his mark in mankind’s history.”

Aguilar explained that they will be filming in countries like Ecuador, Venezuela, Colombia, and Spain. “We’ll be following the Liberator’s footsteps and in order to do this, we’ll create mobile units to enable us to reach any geographical place,” Aguilar said.
