Casting By: Our international casting service differentiates us

A project titled Mariachi and a film in English that will be shot in Colombia is some of the most recent casting works developed by Jessica Caldrello, founder of Casting By who participated in #PRODUprimetime with Ríchard Izarra.

“What makes us different is that we offer international casting service and support our clients in the creative and sales phase. We have realized that production companies have a need for casting, to be able to sell their products to platforms and channels. We have been working together with several clients for the making of pilots that enable their product to be sold easier,” mentioned Caldriello, who was in the interview with her partner, Guillaume de Fonvielle, in charge of the financial and logistics aspect of the company founded three years ago.

Caldriello, who is from Cali and whose first work was in the casting area of Telemundo where he spent 10 years, commented that during this pandemic they are reinventing themselves. “Projects are alive and many times we stop due to corporate issues or because of an actor`s schedules, it happens to us all the time and that has given us the muscle to react rapidly to this type of situation”.

Cadrello`s advice for the success of casting includes that since the star cast is the engine of a series, it is very important for each actor to have the right profile. “This is done together with production. We must all agree and have the same vision,” he furthered.
