El Viejo Jack stars well-known British actor Bernard Cribbins
CBeebies premieres El Viejo Jack (Old Jacks Boat), a new series starring well-known British actor Bernard Cribbins, Saturday, July 6. The show will air at 9:30am during the channels Wake-Up TIme block, which encourages children to start the new day full of energy in an active, exciting and colorful space. El Viejo Jack is a retired fisherman who loves to tell tall tales inside his old fishing boat, El Arco Iris (The Rainbow). Combining animation and live action, the series takes young viewers to the bottom of the sea, on journeys to exotic tropical paradises, and up into the skies in a hot air balloon, all via the stories told by the colorful Jack.El Viejo Jack is a production by Dominic MacDonald for CBeebies, with Tony Reed as executive producer. The music for the series was written by acclaimed composer and arranger Paul Honey and performed for the first time for CBeebies by the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra.
