Disney+ arriving in LatAm in November

The streaming platform Disney+ will be launched officially in November this year in Latin America, announced Bob Chapek, CEO, during the financial report of the second quarter at The Walt Disney Company.

“Despite the continuous challenges of the pandemic, we have continued building on the amazing success of Disney+ as we continue to increase our global direct to consumer businesses”.

He explained that the global reach of the entire portfolio of direct-to-consumer services, which include ESPN+, Hulu and Disney+ exceeded 100 million paid subscriptions at the end of June, out of which more than half (57.5 million), belong to Disney+. This is less than a year after its launch.
