Eduardo Shilinsky seeking financial partner for Barracuda

Eduardo Shilinsky, Mexican actor, writer, director, and producer is looking for an investing partner for the pilot of his film Barracuda, which he is developing together with his producer partner Alberto Namur from C2 Communication. 

Shilinsky explained that Barracuda is a Latino superhero, a pirate in modern time, that finds a mask at the bottom of the sea and realizes that when he puts it on, he becomes a pirate from the past. “It is a family action-comedy.”

“I`ve already written the pilot and have a two-hour demo. We are looking for the funds and I estimate a budget for the film of less than US$300 thousand,” explains Shilinsky who is currently in Cancún, where he has access to many locations to shoot. He has already included the actress Estefanía Iglesias for one of the main roles.

Among the bounties of the project, he highlighted that is low-budget, centered on a singular Latino heroe with adventure elements and it offers the opportunity of creating merchandising (t-shirts, keyholder, among others), an element that other Latina productions such as telenovelas and narco series do not traditionally generate.

The plans are to start shooting in the next few months or for January-February 2021 if the pandemic conditions do not improve sooner.
