El Dragón implied a huge research job

Esther Feldman is the writer in charge of adapting the story of El Dragón, created by Arturo Pérez-Reverte directly for TV and produced by W Studios and Lemon Studios. “It is a unique case, not a book that Pérez-Reverte wrote as a novel, but treated to be adapted especially for TV. It was conceived as audiovisual material. After, we had a workweek with Pérez-Reverte in Spain that was super productive because we exchanged ideas, opinions, and then there was a part that had to do with respecting and irrespective the material, making it grow so it would have its own voice and become El Dragón,” explained Feldman.

She highlighted that it is a project she adores. “It took many years and a huge effort. It required a great deal of research to reflect the financial universe and the Japanese universe that implied a challenge to learn and study all that. I am extremely happy and satisfied with the result,” she ended.
