HBO Max announced that Vgly, a production of Exile Content Studio, is confirmed to begin developing its second season on the platform.

Vgly is the story of the struggles and friendships of a group of young Mexicans on their quest to stand out in the urban music culture scene.

“At HBO MAX, we are committed to giving Latin American content creators a voice to connect with our audiences through
stories that resonate and are relevant to them. A portrait of a group of friends that spans a generation, a colony of Mexico that speaks to the world. The performance data has only verified this connection with local and international audiences. It is a success that allows us to proudly announce the renewal of a second season of this unique and special story, one more step in our strategy to continue delivering content of the highest quality and representativeness for all,” shared Mariano César, SVP of Programming and Content Strategy for HBO and HBO Max at Warner Bros. Discovery.

The first season of this youth dramedy was directed by Sebastián Sariñana and filmed in one of the most representative neighborhoods of Mexico City: La Guerrero, a neighborhood where the dreams of this group of friends begin to take shape, struggling to conquer space in the Latin music scene, questioning and rebelling against the establishment.
