Hemisferio Films: Our aim is to offer our diversity services on production, creativity, and design for film and advertising in Miami

Felipe Martínez Carbonell, Argentine film and advertising director and producer arrived in Miami with his company Hemisferio Films in 2021, after several years in Los Angeles where he studied Film Production at UCLA. He has worked for film production companies such as Underground Films in Hollywood and Defiant Pictures in Beverly Hills, which became its client in 2015 on various projects.

Hemisferio Films is a multicultural film production company, full-service creative agency, and design studio. It has worked in advertising for agencies like Accent Advertising of Santa Monica developing commercials and animation videos for several clients, including six live-action commercials and more than 15 animated commercials for the US Banner Health system.

In 2020, prior to arriving in Miami, Martínez directed wrote and edited the short film Retrato imaginario, a 15-minute fantasy, drama, horror, and suspense film produced by Hemisferio Films. Starring Cecilia Li Causi, Mirko Buchin, and Julio Chianetta, it debuted at Screamfest Los Angeles 2021. In 2022 he directed, wrote, and edited another short film produced by Hemisferio Films, Perseguidos, a 12-minute thriller, drama, and terror; starring Carolina Torres, Adriano Espinosa, and Claudia Schujman, also presented at Screamfest Los Angeles that year.

Martínez aims to serve the US market, position Hemisferio Films, and complete and distribute his first horror feature film, Por Mi Hija, now developing. “To continue opening our doors to new film and advertising clients and their projects, that South Florida learn about our services offer; that we have diversity; people in Miami, Los Angeles, and Argentina. Our main target is the US market: produce and hire here. I consider that in the end, the best is to work where you are and with the people, you surround yourself with,” he said.
