José “Pepe” Bastón will leave the presidency of Televisa Internacional on October 30 but will remain on the Administration Board

José "Pepe" Bastón has worked with Televisa for more than 30 years
Grupo Televisa, S.A.B. announced that October 30, 2017, José “Pepe” Bastón will leave his position as president of Televisa Internacional. Bastón will remain as a member of Televisa´s Administration Board.
“We are very grateful with Pepe for his invaluable contribution to Televisa for over three decades and sad to see him leave. Pepe is a dear friend and a leader who has been instrumental in the development of Televisa as the main global producer of content in Spanish. We are happy to know that Pepe has decided to remain on our Board, that will benefit from his knowledge and vast experience” expressed Emilio Azcárraga, president of Televisa.
“For more than 30 years, Televisa has been an important part of my life. I have seen the Enterprise grow from a traditional media company into a successful and diversified media and telecom corporation. In this period, I have had the privilege of working with Emilio, Bernardo, and Alfonso, whom I consider genuine friends. I am sure that Televisa’s success will continue under their leadership. The other privilege I had during these years, was collaborating with a group of very talented professionals. I will also miss my colleagues. It has been a great path. I will undoubtedly miss working at Televisa, and have been pleased to remain as a member of the Board of Televisa, where I will continue actively participating in this great company,” said Bastón.
