Mikaela Pérez, Sales Executive for Latin America at Kanal D International, stated that they did very well in Natpe concerning Latin America. “Kanal D´s classic series continue conquering the Latin American screen. Series such as Fatmagül, Tormenta de Pasiones and Amor Prohibido, in spite of the years that have gone by, continue to have the same weight as any Turkish series that has recently come out.”

Pérez reported that they have closed new agreements with these series, which proves that classics continue to have the same strength. Chile, Argentina, Ecuador, and Paraguay are cases of countries in the region in which the contents aired about five years ago were bought again and are successfully back. “The audience renews its interest in watching what excited and made them feel passionate in the past.”

Spain is another of the markets that are opening up for Kanal D International. “Spain continues to bet on Turkish content, on quality content, the same way Latin America has done in these last few years. We are going to have in Spain a series that is a romantic comedy aired not long ago in Istambul, called Love Trap, and we are also going to have Mi Dulce Venganza. This proves that the Spanish audience is open to enjoying Turkish content, something that had never happened in the past.”

Kanal D International continues growing in the region and hopes to add many more projects and alliances. “We presented our content proposals for Latin America and highlight Ruthless City, a story that has had great acceptance in the region, which we hope to have soon on the Latin screen with the story of the Karacay family. We are also presenting the remake of Dr. House, a successful series that managed to captivate the Turkish audience from the start with its great production and memorable stories.”
