One of the first projects that is using the new Mediapro US studio facilities in Miami is Univision’s Combate Global. “This show, which Univision had been producing live since March 2021 at its Doral facilities, began to be produced from our production center on Monday, September 3. It is a type of production that needs much more space: the rink and the entire set to organize the fights,” said Mário Sousa, Head of Sales and Marketing at Mediapro US.

Sousa highlighted that in addition to Univisión, they are in talks with three or four other companies for other projects in the new production facilities.

The agreement between Mediapro and Univision will provide studio services for the production of numerous fights during 13 shows in the next four months.

Sousa explained that with the new Miami production center, Mediapro US has a total of nine studios at that location, which allows them now to offer a variety of studio sizes and all interconnected.

“We noticed that many of the heads of content production for Hispanics are in Miami, so Miami is once again a competitive point -as long as they are well managed- due to the ability to add large or small studios,” he said.

The new production center also allows them to offer services for the realization of new digital content, music videos, among others, which they previously had to rent, or larger studios for clients such as beIN SPORTS who would like to have the possibility of including a live audience.

Another group of potential clients are small content producers, “who do not have the capacity or do not want to have their own technical means, but want to be in a cluster where they can easily have access to technical equipment, staff, studies and where they do need to record something very small in one morning, and know that now they can speed it up,” highlighted Sousa.
