Somoza said the company has two other projects on the table

Miguel Somoza, CEO of Sabbatical Entertainment, informed that they sold to Univision their second educational program called The World is Yours (52×24´), produced in alliance with CIC Media.

“Last week we announced the sales of Planeta de Niños, our first educational program for Univision. Now —this week— we were lucky to consolidate the sales of the second original educational program, also with Univision,” said Somoza.

The executive expressed that he was very proud of the success Sabbatical has enjoyed since its appearance seven months ago. “I think it helped the campaign establish the brand. Being prepared for the opportunity of being successful is the most important thing. That is what people call luck.”

Currently, the company has two projects on the table: a documentary and a fiction series. The production of the documentary already started and is about the evolution of his family: the Somoza, who governed Nicaragua for 50 years. “We already have the screen: a news channel in the country has expressed interest in the documentary.”

He also announced they reached an agreement with a Mexican network to produce a special at the end of this year. “The international version is called Lo Mejor de lo Mejor. It will be a tour throughout the year 2017: politics, entertainment, sports, news.”

Somoza stated that along with distribution, production has been a passion he has always wanted to develop. “The experience of sales in all markets inspires me and lets me know the needs of the market.”
