More than 1,600 live soccer games for 2021

For 2021 the sports portfolio of Univision channels will include the broadcast of more than 1,600 live soccer games, the Euro 2020, and the Gold Cup 2021 that the company has called the Verano de Campeones (Champions´ Summer).

In the Verano de Campeones, explained Juan Carlos Rodríguez, president of Sports at Univision during the Virtual Upfront, TUDN will air ten championship games, including the finals of the Euro and the Gold Cup, that will be held for the first time in the same year.

TUDN will continue to be the headquarters of the rivalry between the US and the Mexican teams because it airs more games than any other channel with the two Concacaf powers, and next year the Camino a Qatar (the Road to Qatar) will go on TUDN with the production of more qualifying games than any other network.

Rodríguez recalled that, as part of the reactivation of the sports action, Liga MX restarts the new season on July 16, the UEFA Champion will return in August, and FIFA announced for October the return to the classifying games for the Qatar World Cup.

In sports news, announced two launches of their bulletin in video and in podcast formats, En Un Minuto, the production of Univision Noticias, Café Dato, that circulates on UnivisionNoticias.com, YouTube, Noticiero Univisión digital edition and Despierta América and Q&A, a weekly program on Facebook Live produced by Univision Noticias.
