Scriptwriter of El Marginal Guillermo Salmerón reveals they are writing series on the story of Diego Maradona

Guillermo Salmerón, one of the scriptwriters of El Marginal, said they would make a series on the story of the former soccer player Diego Maradona, reported Infobae.

“We are writing the story. It is for foreign countries, with Argentinean actors, and it is a challenge because I have to tell it to someone who does not know him, who is at the other end of the world and I have to tell it from zero and make it possible for it to be understood.”

The writer comments that this series will have an important fiction part since it can be enriched with situations or tools that serve to reveal the characters in the story.

The goal, he states, will be to tell “why Maradona means what he means to us Argentines”.

Additionally, he pointed out that there is a possibility of making a third season of El Marginal, but he still does not know if he will be part of it.
