SOMOS Distribution: You have to give platforms the windows they need according to the money they invest

Francisco Villanueva, VP and COO of SOMOS Distribution, is participating in Iberseries Platino Industria with great optimism. The executive affirmed that the industry is in the middle of a revolution: “We are going through an important shift that eventually will settle, but I do not think that all the windows will be eliminated, there will be space for each of the different businesses, but you have to see how it evolves and now we are in the middle of an evolution.”
In this changing scenario, SOMOS Distribution is moving forward and successfully distributing Turkish products, catalogs such as RCTV and Enchufe TV, and its own productions.
Villanueva highlighted the content of the Ecuadorian company Enchufe TV. Its digital content has been so successful that they have made a leap onto television. “Enchufe TV is bold, it is a very young trend and it is giving us a lot of satisfaction.”
On the other hand, next year Ginayei, a youth series from SOMOS Productions will premiere on Disney+.
“Everything is working with windows, you have to give the platforms the windows they need according to the amount of money they are investing, but then we will go to pay-TV, free TV, and all the schemes that exist.”
