In the context of Conecta Fiction & Entertainment, Sergi Reitg, Premium Content Director at Sony Music Entertainment Spain, commented that they just finished the production of the documentary film by Joaquín Sabina, Sintiéndolo Mucho, which required 13 years of shootings and three to four years to produce.

“After the summer we will announce how we are going to launch this film. I anticipate that it is a wonderful piece. It is an audiovisual production of extraordinary quality, directed by one of the best directors at this moment in Spanish cinema, that is Fernando León de Aranoa. Talking about Sabina’s life is talking about the life of an extraordinary person” said Reitg.

The executive, who was an animated content producer and distributor, mentioned that the film about Sabina will go to movie theaters and platforms.

He highlighted that, at the same time, they are launching original content, a new format called Acoustic Home. “It is a documentary, musical series on the life and music of Spanish artists. We did the first season last year that we sold to HBO Max Iberia, which is being broadcast both in Spain and in Portugal, with very good results. We were commissioned for a second season that we are starting to produce and will be released later this year on HBO Max Iberia. We are very happy with the development of this premium content area”.

Reitg is seeking at Conecta Fiction & Entertainment partners and co-producers for the projects they have, both their own and of other companies, based on the lives of artists or on the music of a company, such as Sony Music.

He ended by highlighting the good moment production in Spain is going through thanks to the initiative of Audiovisual Made in Spain and tax incentives.
