Talento Latino: Latin Hollywood is not Miami but Mexico and the neutral accent is not Mexican but from where it is not determined

Alberto Navarro, founder and manager of Talento Latino, demystified two sayings that had become popular: the first, that Miami was the Hollywood of Latin America and the second, that the neutral accent had to be Mexican.”Latin Hollywood is Mexico and not Miami”, answered this expert in advertising management, promotion and development to a question PRODU made in an interview in Mexico City, specifically in Parque Mexico in the Colonia Condesa.”Although in Miami Telemundo produces some novelas, you could say what is made the most in Miami is entertainment programming, but most of the fiction TV, film, and theater production is actually in Mexico”, said Navarro, who manages and/or promotes talents with the likes of Julián Gil, Daniel Elbittar, Poncho de Anda, Mauricio Henao, Juan Vidal and Arap Bethke, all active in big networks like Televisa, Azteca and Telemundo.Native from Puerto Rico, Navarro also gave his opinion on how the neutral accent should be: “Neutral accent is not Mexican but one you can’t identify where it is from”, he stated.These opinions were expressed by Navarro in a general conversation on different aspects of the industry.
