Telemundo stations in Los Angeles, Miami and Phoenix have the most-watched late local newscast on April 2016

The Telemundo Station Group today announced that nearly half of all Telemundo-owned stations had the most-watched local newscasts in their markets during April 2016. Telemundo-owned stations in Los Angeles, Miami and Phoenix have most-watched late local newscast in any language while the local stations in New York, Chicago, Denver, Philadelphia and Boston outperform all of their local Spanish-language competitorsTelemundo’s west coast flagship television station, Telemundo 52 Los Angeles/KVEA had the most-watched local newscast at 11pm, in any language, among Adults 18 to 34. KVEA’s 11pm newscast was also the second most-watched late local newscast in the market, regardless of language, among Adults 18 to 49 and Adults 25 to 54.South Florida’s local news leader, Telemundo 51 Miami/WSCV, and Telemundo Phoenix/KTAZ also outperformed all of their local market competitors with the most watched local newscasts at 11pm EDT and 10pm MST, respectively — in any language — among all three demographic groups: Adults 18 to 34, Adults 18 to 49 and Adults 25 to 54. “Our stations’ commitment to delivering top-notch journalism is rooted in the fact that our viewers deserve to receive best-in-class journalism and that our stations have the responsibility to inform the communities we serve.
