Patricio Wills, president of Televisa Estudios, assured that in 2019 quality and innovation are maintained as the company´s keywords. Alliances with other companies will have an essential role, contributing fresh ideas, greater investment and scope.

“Televisa has made the decision to co-produce with the most important companies in the world, we are open. Regardless of the size of the company, what matters is the size of the idea. We have around 15 projects in development with different partnerships,” he stated. Mediapro, Sony, Endemol Shine Boomdog and Amazon are some of their strategic allies. They also work with production companies and independent producers, some coming from the first global initiative of pilots for TV from Univision Communications Inc. (UCI) and Televisa, pilot season.

Wills added that both in their own productions as well as in partnerships, Televisa is coming full throttle: “The new thing we are bringing is that, along with traditional formats like La Rosa de Guadalupe, that is a hit wherever it is presented, is that we are coming with airs of renewal and freshness, with short, different formats and an important investment”.

At Natpe they will present a great offer that includes the episodic series Sin Miedo a la Verdad, that comes with a second season; El Último Dragón, an ambitious production, shot in Japan, Spain, Mexico and other countries; Amar a Muerte and also, La Fábrica de Sueños: “This is an iconic Project that is very important for us, because it represents renovation from the inside of Televisa. They are short formats of the same stories of always, told in a dynamic, contemporary way, and in 25 episodes. The portfolio is large and diverse, but quality and innovation are the names of the game,” he ended.
