Univision announces open-call auditions dates for new singing competition La Reina de la Canción

The season will start with up to 60 contestants selected through auditions to be held across the U.S.

Women hoping to become the next Latina superstar in the Regional Mexican music genre will soon have the opportunity to audition for Univision Network’s new program La Reina de la Canción. This all-new competition is not only searching for the next great female superstar, but is also celebrating the myriad accomplishments of Latina women in the U.S. by giving voice to their hopes and dreams.

Francisca Lachapel from Univision’s hit morning program Despierta América will be participating in the auditions as she will be one of the celebrity cast members for the show. The superstar host for La Reina de la Canción, which will make its debut in 2017, will be revealed later this year.

La Reina de la Canción is an original multimedia talent competition that allows viewers to help discover the next great female singer in the Regional Mexican music genre.

The season will start with up to 60 contestants selected through auditions to be held across the U.S. The auditions will start October 1st in Chicago and will end on Saturday, November 12th, in Los Angeles.
