The Director of Nunchaku, Ariel Danziger, admits he’s always had a soft spot for projects that are challenging right from the start. That was the case with his most recent work, The Coffee Upgrade Experiment for Nescafe Dolce Gusto, created by the We Believers agency.“I like to work on productions that are logistically complex, and particularly when budgets are tight, I like to find solutions that bring the full potential of the creativity to life while always maintaining high quality and stunning aesthetics. He said that though he doesn’t often direct comedy, he occasionally works with scripts that make you laugh. With The Coffee Upgrade Experiment he decidedly stepped out of his comfort zone: “It gave me the feeling of not being limited and of having all the freedom in the world to develop dialogues and characters. Working with talented improv actors helped me enormously in directing each scene. I can’t actually take much credit because they (the actors) made my job really easy. I couldn’t stop laughing for the whole two days of the shoot.Nunchaku and We Believers have worked together on a number of projects, Danziger said. “The Dolce Gusto project was the first for me and I hope it’s not the last. I couldn’t have had a better creative team – Leo Prat and Percy Bustos are a couple of creative machines. They love what they do and it shows because they didn’t stop at all. I really respect that degree of passion. The client on the set saw how smoothly everything flowed and was very comfortable just letting us do what we do.”
