Brands launch warnings to FIFA after scandals

Visa, Coca-Cola, Hyundai Motors, Adidas, Nike, among other brands sponsors of FIFA have expressed their concern over the corruption scandal that surrounds the entity. “It is important for FIFA to make changes right now”, said VISA. “If FIFA fails to do so, we will have to inform them that we will withdraw our sponsorship”, warned VISA in a press release.For its part, Coca-Cola thinks “the controversy stained the mission and ideals of the World Cup”. The company assured that they “repeatedly expressed their concerns over these accusations”.Hyundai Motors expressed being “terribly worried about the legal procedures” and was monitoring the situation. Unless there is a change of regime in FIFA, the sponsors must leave”.Adidas, another great sponsor of FIFA said that it is “totally committed with the creation of a culture that promotes the highest ethical and fulfilment standards and that they expect the same from their partners”.Another sponsor that expressed concern was Nike, after maintaining that he believes in an ethical and fair game both in business and in sports and strongly opposes any other form of manipulation or bribe.
