José Gregorio Aponte, Executive Producer at Whiskey Quito shared with PRODU the production house’s experience during its first year in its new Ecuadorian office. The company is located in eight countries “where it has achieved a relationship of trust with clients in each region. These local clients, with legal needs due to the Ecuadorian content legislation, triggered the decision of planning and consolidating a new headquarter in that city” he explained. Whiskey Quito opened its offices on January 2015 and little by little they understood the market’s dynamic. For Aponte, putting together a great team of professional and committed people, compatible with their work philosophy was crucial to succeed in this new stage. “It’s a great start for our first year and we’re satisfied because we achieved the proposed goals in a highly competitive market with very good level production houses, both in Quito and Guayaquil” he added. “The content legislation has paved the way for a type of advertising where there is more economic investment, propelling the local market to a new level” he said. “With little experience of only one year in Quito, I feel that the market has forced better results of each of those involved in these processes, and there has been a very positive response of the local market. I feel fortunate of being able to do our part in this development. We’ve had the opportunity to produce important regional campaigns for Vanish, Johnson & Johnson and Nivea, among others.”
