Macy’s dresses as a Latina before the launch of Thalia’s clothing line

La cantante mexicana, Thalía, presentó en Macy's su línea de moda llamada Thalía Sodi Collection

On January 20th, the Mexican singer presented her new clothing collection for Macy’s, called Thalia Sodi Collection.The event, which counted with lots of executives of the department store, took the place with floral and animal prints; the models paraded in time to the music of the interpreter.The brand will debut exclusively at Macy’s 300 stores in the US and will be available in the online store during the first week of February. Initially the line will include dresses, shirts, pants, shoes and jewelry.”I respected very much the lifestyle we have because we are hardworking and enterprising women, some have two or three jobs a day, but return home and do the housework, they are mothers, they are wives, so it’s just for the lifestyle of a Latino” the singer said in a ceremony held in Manhattan.The chain expects the fashion line a success in communities with the highest concentration of Hispanics, such as Texas, Florida and California; and in cities like New York, Miami, Los Angeles, Chicago, Cincinnati, Columbus and Detroit.”The Hispanic woman is one of the fastest growing segments in the US. With this new brand they will have an even stronger offering fashion that directly addresses the preferences of style, cut and color of this consumer,” Terry Lundgren said, chairman and CEO of Macy’s.
