Mundo Ford News: New center of technical support will increase the vehicle’s performance

Ford announced the opening of its new center of Technical Support in Concord, North Carolina. The modern technical facilities will add a series of tools to the development of future performance vehicles that will help increase the global success of Ford in the car industry.It is expected that it will be ready at the end of this summer. The building of 33, 000 square feet, will be Ford Racing’s technical support headquarters and it will have the necessary equipment to test their vehicles for races. The location was chosen due to its proximity to NASCAR’s investigation and development center, and also to the proximity to other equipment headquarters for car races.”Motorsports and the development of Ford products are related and this new center will be home to advanced tools that will work for both our competition teams and the performance development of future Ford vehicles,” Raj Nair, Ford’s Global Product Development VP, said.Jim Farley, Ford’s VP, Global Marketing and Sales executive, commented: “Our technical center is another tool that will help us to continue growing our performance vehicles business in the world”.At the beginning, the facilities will focus on NASCAR teams’ support in the three main divisions of tourism, but then it will be expanded to include other Ford Racing teams that participate in other series.
