Pablo Buffagni of BBQ Agency: It’s Important To Have Festivals That Reward Independent Agencies

The Hispanic jurors at the First International Festival of Independent Advertising  (FePI) will include Pablo Buffagni, Founder, Creative Director and Head Chief at BBQ Agency. “We will see ads from different countries made with the insight and creative skills of independent agencies, and will undoubtedly come across some nice surprises,” are among Buffagni’s expectations.The creative, who will be a juror for the out-of-home (OOH) category, feels that outdoor advertising has been a big leader in innovation over the last few years. “Of course, the basic requirement is the organic coexistence of the idea with its outdoor context and how it makes the most of its environment.” The event will be held on October 11-12 in the Argentine city of Rosario, and will have more than 150 professionals from 20 countries making up the international jury that will allocate the awards. Five leaders from independent agencies will represent the U.S. Hispanic market. “It’s important to have festivals that reward independent agencies, since we have undoubtedly been a growing trend over the past few years. The FePI has additionally managed to put together a very prestigious jury, which is the right way to find and honor the best creative work,” Buffagni said.
