Republica Havas, one of the leading advertising, media and communications agencies in the United States, announced that Tony Waissmann will join the team as chief creative officer this coming May to direct its talented creatives in producing work of the very highest level. The agency’s co-founder, Luis Casamayor, who previously held that position, has been named creative president. Waissmann brings 22 years of experience in the industry around Latin America, and his move to Republica Havas marks a before and after, since this is the first time he brings his rich professional talents to a company based in the United States. In his new position, Waissmann will direct the creative team with an emphasis on clarity and a focus on developing work in line with the spirit of the times.His decision to join Republica Havas comes during a historic year for the agency, since it has experienced a 25 percent growth amid outstanding success with such brands as Nike, the FIFA World Cup and the Algorand blockchain platform. “We took our time to make sure of finding the right person to be our new chief creative officer, and Tony exceeded our expectations,” said Luis Casamayor, cofounder and creative president of Republica Havas. “He is a generational talent who will raise the level of our creative product and continue to cultivate a diverse and multifaceted team here at Republica Havas.
