Caracol Televisión and Netflix announced an exclusive licensing agreement

Caracol Televisión and Netflix has announced an exclusive licensing agreement for Caracol´s productions Sobreviviendo a Pablo Escobar and La Niña.The new series currently underdevelopment Sobreviviendo a Pablo Escobar, and the series La Niña will be available exclusively to Netflix subscribers as first window in Latin America, United States, Canada, Spain, Portugal and Andorra in the next twelve months.“We are very proud to celebrate this agreement with Netflix, thanks to the high standards of our productions, we are able to keep up with the industry´s vanguard and confirms we are leaders in production and world distribution of content in Spanish,” said Gonzalo Córdoba, president of Caracol Televisión.Sobreviviendo a Pablo Escobar is based on the book written by John Jairo Velásquez alias “Popeye”, leader and commander of Pablo Escobar´s hitmen squadron. La Niña is based in real life events and tells the story of a girl, who was forcefully recruited by the guerrilla. Another production, which is also part of this deal, is La Esclava Blanca. “This alliance is the proof of the commitment that Caracol Televisión has to its audience and international clients.
