Telemundo Deportes is offering the broadcast of the World Cup in 4K in collaboration with Comcast, as well as in HD.

“I think it is the first time this is done for the World Cup. Since the world changes so much in terms of technology every four years, we want to make sure we provide the best on-the-air, online, and TV experience. We have virtual reality, augmented reality and all kinds of new technologies, as well as the ones provided by Comcast’s X1 as part of their soccer experience,” explained Bill Bergofin, senior VP, Brand and Content, Telemundo Deportes.

He highlighted that, even though it is the first time Telemundo airs the World Cup, they have vast experience in the broadcast of big sports events, “both in Telemundo and in NBC Sports, with whom they work in collaboration to produce the best, most authentic and exciting coverage of the World Cup ever seen before, regardless of the language. It will be the most mobile, multicultural, and millennial World Cup ever.”

To end, he highlighted that the World Cup is a transforming event, not just for the company, but for Latinos in the US. “We will also have the Women’s World Cup in 2019. We cover the Olympic Games and the biggest and best global events in the Spanish language in the US,” he ended.
