Alazraki Entertainment: Seeking to self-finance

Moisés Chiver, the producer partner of Alazraki Entertainment, pointed out that 2020 comes with a great deal of work in three great pillars: the first is the company´s strong point, content, with the decision of resuming cinema, for which they worked in 2019 on a line up of developments. In this sense, they seek to avoid depending on fiscal stimuli in order to depend more on risk investment funds and thus prove that it is an industry that can sustain itself.

The second pillar is the production front lead by Chiver, which, along with their own content, will offer production services abroad. This year, they will make two comedy series and two films, in which they will explore new genders such as science fiction.

“In this same slot, we are growing in infrastructure, with our own equipment and facilities,” added Chiver after highlighting that the third pillar they want to strengthen is the financial one.

“Beyond the management of money, we are managing properties and want to see how to continue making the most of what we already generate, as well as what is coming next,” he explained after commenting that they increasingly seek to self-finance their own projects and imitate business models that already exist in Hollywood.

Additionally, alike Alazraki, but also at a personal level, Moisés Chiver works together with Canacine in the initiative to train the industry. “We want to get better and prepare the next generation well, because, if not, when this big wave of work we have ends, there will only be a few at the top of the wave. We must strive to leave a solid industry that can cater to the entertainment industry and with high standards,” he said. For this, they are adding people, organizing master classes and working on alliances to develop a training program.
