BBC Worldwide Channels will launch mobile application CBeebies on the Go

BBC Worldwide Channels Latin America & U.S. Hispanic will have three new launches for its channel CBeebies in the U.S.: the BBC original mixed animation-live-action series Baby Jake, the mobile application CBeebies on the Go, and a Facebook page catering to parents. We continue to strengthen our presence in and commitment to the Hispanic market. We will soon have good news in the distribution front, which will also include a new VOD initiative, said to PRODU Jessica Rodríguez, SVP and General Manager of BBC Worldwide Channels Latin America & U.S. Hispanic.She referenced a TGI study in Mexico, which reports that CBeebies has the highest concentration of homemakers online and on social media compared to competing channels.To address this trend, we will launch CBeebies on the Go for the last quarter of the year. BBC Worldwide already launched it in Asia. The app brings CBeebies content to mobile devices such as iPad and iPhone. We are also launching a parent-friendly Facebook page with information about education and the latest trends on preschool-age kids, added Rodríguez.Additionally, the company is updating the CBeebies webpage.
