Caracol Televisión and Inter Medya announced a co-production agreement and introduced to the international market the telenovela Leylifer, produced by Âlim Yapım.

Shot in Turkey, it’s about Meryem, a young Colombian living in Spain. Her life takes a turn when she and her Turkish husband, Kemal, travel to Istanbul for a few days to attend the wedding of her sister-in-law and Kemal suddenly disappears, without telling anyone.

The wedding is cancelled and Kemal is later found dead in a burned car with a woman. Believing that Kemal was murdered, Meryem vows not to return to Spain until she finds the killer.

Alone in Istanbul, among the people who once rejected her because she was a stranger, she meets Aziz, the famous designer of the Leylifer ring that she wears. In a turn of destiny, their paths cross and they will live an unexpected love.

Starring the Cuban-American actress Camila Duarte, it includes an outstanding cast of Turkish actors with extensive international experience, such as Can Verel and Pervin Balcı, among others.

Lisette Osorio, VP of International Business at Caracol Televisión, highlighted: “Leylifer is the staging of two narrative powers: Colombia and Turkey. This, plus the production expertise that both companies have resulted in a premium drama that we know will generate great demand in the international market.”

Can Okan, founder, and CEO of Inter Medya, commented: “We are delighted to renew our partnership with Caracol TV as our long-standing partnership reaches new heights. With Leylifer, we embark on an extraordinary journey that celebrates the creative fusion between Colombia and Turkey. This extraordinary effort marks just the beginning of our shared vision, as we look forward to a future filled with captivating co-production projects.”

Beatriz Cea Okan, VP and Head of Sales and Acquisitions, stated: “We are delighted to announce our continued partnership with Caracol TV that has stood the test of time. With great enthusiasm, we embark on an extraordinary journey together, bringing Leylifer’s captivating story to life. This project not only shows the creative synergy between Colombia and Turkey but also serves as a testament to our shared commitment to deliver exceptional content. As we delve into this compelling narrative, we are confident that Leylifer is just the beginning of a long-lasting co-production relationship, with many exciting projects on the horizon.”

Kadir Doğulu, the co-founder of Âlim Yapım, added: “As Âlim Yapım, I can say that we are experiencing a double joy with Leylifer. Great care was taken both in the script and in the filming process to keep the audience engaged for 120 episodes. I am proud to be a part of this series as a producer and an actor, and I believe it will serve as a beautiful bridge between two cultures.”
