Carlos Quintanilla named VP of Original Content for Sony Pictures Television LatAm

Sony Pictures Television (SPT) announced that Carlos Quintanilla Sakar has been named VP of Original Content for Sony Pictures Television Latin America.
In this role, he will lead development efforts of scripted Spanish language programming for all platforms in Latin America and US Hispanic markets. Quintanilla Sakar, who will be based in Mexico, will report to Ana Bond, SVP & Managing Director of International Production for Mexico and Colombia.
“Carlos brings a wealth of knowledge to the team. He is an accomplished creative talent with experience as a screenwriter, stage director, and professor. For the past twenty years, Carlos has worked on and developed a variety of projects for different platforms and networks across our region. We are thrilled to have him on board,” said Bond.
“I am so excited to join this new adventure. I’ve had such a deep connection with Sony for a long time: from writing Rosario Tijeras to being able to create my first original as a writer. We have always been partners and now that partnership can grow into something so much bigger,” said Quintanilla Sakar.
