After three years of tenure in WAWA (Worldwide Audiovisual Women’s Association) as general manager, Carolina Cordero is undertaking new challenges in the industry. WAWA said in a statement that Cordero is leaving after successfully meeting her management objectives, such as the constant and exponential growth of the association and the achievement of strategic alliances with significant benefits for all its members. She also achieved being present at all the business events that mark the calendar of the audiovisual industry.

“It is a stage accomplished,” Carolina Cordero told PRODU after explaining that when she took the position at WAWA, there were 120 members, and now there are more than 550 worldwide. “WAWA lacked networking activities, and today is part of the industry calendar with its market. The mentoring program I created within WAWA brought seven women to MIP Cancun this year, who are in negotiations with their projects. It is time to step aside and look for new challenges,” she stated. She pointed out that she leaves with the satisfaction of achieving the project, opening doors to young talents in the industry, supporting partners in developing their businesses, and recognizing peers and colleagues. “My work has been reflected in the eyes of others and in every press review that you have published,” she said, after thanking PRODU for following her on this journey.

“At WAWA, we want to thank her for her extraordinary management, which contributed to the growth of our association based on our four pillars: Ethics, Diversity, Leadership, and Commitment. Pillars that Carolina Cordero represented throughout her tenure, being a professional of excellence. We wish her much success in the future,” indicated the WAWA statement.
