Carolina Leconte appointed VP of Development and Creative Production at Gato Grande

Carolina Leconte Gato Grande

Gato Grande Productions, a joint venture with the Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer studios, announces the hiring of Carolina Leconte as VP of Development & Creative Production.

Leconte performed as Creative VP for Sony Pictures from 2013 until January 15, 2019, where she developed and supervised more than 12 television series. Leconte will make her debut in this position in Natpe, and commented that she is “thrilled and full of work.”

Carla González Vargas, CEO of Gato Grande, said: “We are very excited to have Carolina as an important part of our team. Gato Grande projects are ambitious in scale and execution level, we seek to be pioneers in our field and Carolina has that profile. Throughout her career, she has seeks innovative and different projects. I am very pleased that Gato Grande represents the next step for her.”

Carolina Leconte is a social communicator and journalist with experience in television for more than 20 years. She was Programming and Acquisitions Director of the channel Caracol in Colombia, after that, Senior Director of Co-Productions, and afterward she relocated to Mexico, where she was the producer in charge of the first season of El Señor de Los Cielos at Caracol Televisión.

Gato Grande, the company behind the success of Luis Miguel: La Serie, is currently developing several fiction series, as well as docu-series. They will reveal more details at Natpe.
