History introduced in Mexico City the project Una idea para cambiar la historia, which summons Latin American talent to present ideas to boost growth in their countries or regions. Representing Mexico are actor Jaime Camil as ambassador and journalist Pedro Ferris as judge.During the presentation, César Coletti, VP of Marketing of History and H2 Latin America, said 400 ideas have been submitted online, and will be promoted on the channel’s different platforms.“Aside from entertainment, this project was born out of a need to make a difference in society. We want to attract great inventors, but also the general public and that’s where History is providing support to promote them. The call is made online, which is currently the most efficient medium to collect the amount of ideas we hope to receive,” said Coletti. He said that to promote the project, which closes September 10th and will award the best three ideas in December, History will produce vignettes and will have ambassadors in Argentina (Julián Weich), Colombia (Andrés Cepeda), Mexico (Jaime Camil) and Peru (Raúl Vargas). The judges who will evalute the submissions will be Bernardo González-Arechiga (Mexico), Patricia García (Peru), Pedro Ferris (Mexico), Jorge Reynolds (Colombia) and Juan Pablo Swett (Chile).Jaime Camil added that in the region “more of these projects are needed. Every little bit counts to change history and the outcome can only be positive.”
