Claudia Wagner from Bloomberg TV: We will launch the signal in HD in September

Bloomberg TV Latin America will launch in HD in September and will be available with a different format and screen, that will include up to 80 daily news in Spanish. The signal has 2,400 journalists in 150 offices, 12 of which are located in Latin America and group 85 journalists who generate content for radio, TV, digital, mobile, applications, etc. “TV viewers are increasingly using diverse platforms to consume content, we hope to increase our presence even more. Platforms such as Claro Video and Vivo Play already have Bloomberg Originals content. We are currently in negotiations to distribute our more than 150 hours of original Bloomberg programming that reaches a large audience with programs such as Game Changers, Brilliant Ideas, Inside Series and Good Fortunes; some of which will be subtitled in Spanish and Portuguese,” said Claudia Wagner, Head of Digital Content & Video Distribution for TV in Latin America and the Caribbean.She feels that Latin America is going through a difficult period due to the macroeconomic situation in many countries. Although the devaluation of several currencies and political instability have affected consumers, they expect the pay TV market to continue growing through new technologies and distribution platforms like OTT. “The need to have live and last-minute news throughout the day has increased in these territories,” added Wagner.
