CNN prepares podcast projects with Juan Carlos López and Fernando del Rincón for 2022

The audio platform of CNN en Español registered a triple-digit year-on-year growth and its highest year in monthly downloads, leading with podcasts such as CNN 5 Things, Coronavirus: Reality vs. Fiction with Dr. Elmer Huerta, Aristegui and Global Challenges with José Levy, among others.

Cynthia Hudson, SVP and managing director of CNN en Español and Hispanic Strategy for CNN / US, announced during the network Upfront that they are working on more original podcast projects.

“We are currently trying to develop new projects with CNN Audio. The podcast with José Levy took us months. It takes us a long time because CNN does a lot of testing, as they have a great understanding of how to podcast audiences work,” explained Hudson. She pointed out that they are analyzing other figures such as Juan Carlos López with Directo USA that addresses North American politics and another with Fernando del Rincón.

“There are definitely several audio projects for 2022,” she concluded.
