Comcast: The automatic verification in the household for our subscribers is a big contribution for the Olympics

Aside from the great amount of Spanish-language content for the 2012 Olympic Games that Comcast is offering to the Hispanic market of the U.S., the company has launched a new automatic verification system within each household for subscribers to be able to access the material. Rúben Mendiola, VP and general manager of Multicultural Video Services at Comcast, explained to PRODU that this automatic verification process is one of the most important things the cable operator has developed for the Olympics. “We’ve worked really hard within the technological sphere this year so that all of our subscribers can count on immediate Internet and video services at their homes to see all that’s available among digital platforms on the Olympics. People don’t need to put their usernames or passwords, but will automatically have access to the content” Mendiola commented. Another attractive element of Comcast’s Olympic offer is the special channel dedicated entirely to soccer, where all the men’s and women’s soccer matches during the Olympics will be broadcasted. We’ll have the audio available in Spanish through SAP (Secondary Audio Programming). Seeing as soccer is one of the sports that our Hispanic clients like best, it’s certain that those Olympic matches will be enjoyed by the public.
