Discovery Kids Media announced five new original shows under production. The two animated and three live-action shows are being produced in collaboration with a number of celebrated children’s content creators in Latin America and the United States.

“I’m thrilled to announce that, only a year after the launch of DKM, we already have five shows under production, and more to come under development, as part of a growing portfolio uniquely reflecting the core values of our brand. We’re excited to launch brand new IP, working with new production partners, as well as build on the success of our existing creative collaborations, a testament to the strength of our development and production team,” remarked Carolina Lightcap, EVP and CCO of Discovery Latin America/U.S. Hispanic and General Manager, Discovery Kids Media.

The shows are two animations Underdogs (52×11’) and Bean and Friends (52×11’), and three live-action series, Alex’s Music, Super Lolo and Our Zoo World, each one of 52×30’.

Bean & Friends is produced by Chatrone Latin America Productions and Birdo Studios, another top animation studio in the region.

Alex’s Music (working title), is being filmed in Mexico. It was created by Adam Anders and is produced by 360 PowWow and Anders Media Inc.
