Together with the announcement of the financial results of the first quarter of 2020, The Walt Disney Company reported that its Disney+ service reached 54.5 million subscriptions.
Just six months after being launched in the US, Disney+ currently has a presence in the United Kingdom, France, Ireland, Germany, Italy, Spain, Austria, Switzerland, Holland, New Zealand, Australia, and India. It will reach Japan in June, Belgium, Portugal, Luxembourg and Nordic countries in September, and the arrival in Latin America was confirmed for the end of this year.
The increase in subscriptions for Disney+ does not seem to stop, since just one month after announcing the reach of 50 million subscribers, it has now added 4.5 million. Disney had estimated to reach between 60 to 90 million subscribers, the goal it is reaching increasingly faster.
