José Alberto Castro, founder and executive director of Entrelineas

José Alberto Castro, Founder and Executive Director of Entrelineas, spoke on en VIVO with Ríchard Izarra, in the context of the second anniversary of his company that feeds the industry with stories and scripts.

“El Güero”, as he is called, assured that he is happy that his stories are already on different screens and that they are doing very well. He also reported that aside from making scripts, they will soon begin participating as producers of their own stories.

“We have writers from different countries, such as Mexico, Colombia, Argentina, to adapt to what the different audiences want to watch. We have been carefully thinking about how we are going to tell stories, it is one of the big challenges we face because of how the industry has changed, due to new platforms,” assured Castro.

“We have had contact with YouTube and Amazon, that is coming with a lot of money to generate content in Latin America and we are preparing to deliver a concept of what they want and are looking for in a bit over a month. They are looking for content for Adults 18-39,” said Castro.

Castro also thinks that scripts and scriptwriters of the industry in the region totally measure up to those of other markets, both in Europe and in the US, since, despite having smaller budgets, they create big hits that are bought and watched worldwide.
