Epigmenio Ibarra, CEO and general producer of Argos Comunicación, showed PRODU the construction of the Centro Independiente de Producción Gabriel García Márquez, 60% of which has been built already. When the entire project is accomplished, which is expected to happen in the first quarter of 2016 -although the first two sets will begin operations in December- the complex will be comprised of six fully-equipped forums, managed by a new company -Caravana- which will promote this center in the international as well as the local market.”Now, not only do we produce contents, but we also present ourselves as a platform at the service of anyone else who wants to produce contents. We are a one-stop shop. We can help with casting, creative personnel, technicians, equipments, forums, construction, wardrobe and furniture. But if someone simply requires the shell, we can provide it”, stated Epigmenio in the site where the construction is taking place, next to the initials studios, which have operated for nearly 20 years. “And if someone approaches us with an idea and wants us to provide the writers, we can develop it jointly, we will be eager to venture into it. Whatever you want, we want”, emphasized Epigmenio, willing to offer tailor-made services, according to the requirements of each project. The biggest of the new studios has an area of 1154 sq yards, followed by another one that is 897 sq yards. “Another point to highlight is that the forums were conceived by people that have to do with production, who know what they want”, he said. The center will have an underground parking lot with capacity for 250 vehicles.
